First Annual ASC International Princeton Telethon in London

For the last few years, the Princeton's International Telethon has taken place in New York annually to interview applicants to aid Princeton with its goal of reaching every applicant.

A London event will take place from this year onwards to help with the ever-growing pool of applicants and we have every intention to make the first London telethon a success and a tradition for the Princeton alumni community in London going forward. We have students from Shanghai, the Philippines, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and India that we have committed to interview on the telephone that day (who would otherwise be unlikely to be offered an interview due to the remoteness of their locations and lack of alumni in their countries).

Princeton's International Telethon London will be a fun-filled day of tiger spirit and we will interview students on the telephone from countries with time zones ahead of us from about 9:30 am through the early afternoon at the conference centre of Shearman & Sterling LLP, Broadgate West, 9 Appold Street, London EC2A 2AP.  Breakfast and lunch will be served, and it will be a great opportunity to meet and re-connect with other fellow Princetonians.

Our goal on February 8, 2014 is to accomplish 100+ telephone interviews in London so please replay and say yes as soon as possible if you can join us (our applicants will be eagerly awaiting by their telephones on that day so we will rely very much on your definite commitment).  We will then hand over our accomplished goal by the afternoon to the New York telethon to continue their good work!

Please pass this invitation onto other alumni friends as well!
Thank you very much in advance for your generosity in offering your time and we hope to see many of you.

POST-EVENT NOTE: We interviewed 75 students during this event, and next year we hope to be able to add more students to our list. I am thrilled to have a new colleague in this, Mrs Gabrielle Kaiser Wong ’91. Regards, Dr. Mika Provata-Carlone *02, S'00
