Tour of Cézanne and the Modern: Masterpieces of European Art from the Pearlman Collection at the Ashmolean by James Steward, Director of the Princeton University Art Museum

Join us for an insightful tour and talk by James Steward, director of the Princeton University Art Museum. We will also be joined by Professor Christopher Brown CBE, the director of the Ashmolean.

The new exhibition was organized by the Princeton University Art Museum in cooperation with the Henry and Rose Pearlman Foundation and features fifty works of late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century art, spanning Impressionism and Post-Impressionism and including 24 paintings and watercolours by Paul Cézanne. The Pearlman Collection has been on long-term loan to the Princeton University Art Museum since 1976.

Professor Brown commented that: “The Ashmolean is honoured to be the first European venue to show the world-renowned Pearlman Collection. We are also very pleased to be working with another great university museum – the Princeton University Art Museum – and hope that this landmark exhibition will establish links with colleagues in Princeton for the future.”

Tickets for the Ashmolean tour, talk and reception are £10 for Dues-Paying Members, £20 for all other Members and £10 for guests. Children are free.
