About the speakers:

Jean-Paul Faguet is Professor of the Political Economy of Development at the London School of Economics. He is also Chair of the Decentralization Task Force at Columbia University's Initiative for Policy Dialogue.

Adnan Khan is Research and Policy Director at the International Growth Centre, a research centre based at the LSE which aims to promote sustainable growth in developing countries by providing demand-led policy advice based on frontier research.

John Sidel
 is the Sir Patrick Gillam Professor of International and Comparative Politics at the LSE.
